David Blight School of Dance was founded in 1944 by Minna and David Blight. The original David Blight studio was opened in the Orpheum Theatre Building on South Main Street in Wilkes-Barre. It soon established a reputation for quality dance education, with as many as ten studios in the greater Northeastern Pennsylvania area.

To honor the legacy of our founder, David Blight School of Dance is proud to offer a wide variety of classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Novelty. Private instruction is available in each one of these studies. Schedules are setup to accommodate beginner through professional levels for both children and adult.
